Destiny Hope Blake wasn't the name she was born by. She was born Destiny Hope Nicole Cambridge at 7:13pm on September 23, 1992. Her hometown would have been Nashville Tennessee if her parents were able to care for her. Robert was abandoned with his infant daughter a week after his girlfriend was let out of the hospital. The burden of a child was too much to bear, leaving everything behind and heading off to the city to make a new life for herself. Robby was lost. He had no idea where to even begin. His only option was to call his parents in California to put the child up for adoption out there. He knew it would be a better life then he would have been able to make for them. California was full of powerful and rich people and he knew she would be in good hands. Weeks later he got a phone call about a couple who wanted to adopt Destiny. He was given information about the couple and even got a file with pictures of their family. He agreed and signed the papers after only thinking about it overnight. His first contact with the Blake's was long enough to tell them that he did not want his girl knowing he left her. Robert couldn't bear his own flesh and blood hating him her entire life just because he wasn't a fit parent. From the moment she was brought into the Blake residence she was accepted into the family. Destiny was a very quiet and happy child, regardless of her situation. She did nothing more then cooing, laughing and smiling all day long until it was time for bed, which gave her the nickname smiley (As she got a little older it seemed that smiley was not a 'grown up' nickname so her father dubbed it Miley). Her immune system was perfect until she was two years old. Her biological mother had been a diabetic and it happened to be a genetic trait. It was never suspected until Destiny had gotten a cut on her leg and her entire leg got infected. The infection was treated and Destiny was diagnosed with Juvenile Diabetes. Her adopted parents were taught how to test her sugar and how to give her the insulin every day. They were loaded with information, probably more then they could remember. Through out the years it was hard to teach her how to eat right and how to recognize symptoms and signs of a problem. Destiny was also never a worker. She loved to play around, sleep and eat but put a book in front of her and she'd throw a fit. Elementary school was the hardest. Teachers were calling her parents practically every day on her behavior. If she wasn't getting in trouble it would be because she forgot her insulin at home and was having an attack from having too much sugar in her blood. Growing up, she spent most of her time trying to spend time with her older brother. She looked up to him and wanted to be like him to a certain extent. Destiny wasn't thrilled about being tricked into eating sugar free foods while Alexander had regular but she eventually learned that she had no choice. Ever now and then, to their parents dismay, Alex would sneak a few foods to Destiny that she normally wouldn't be allowed to eat. Their parents couldn't figure out how her sugar was so high until Alex was caught sneaking into the freezer one night to get a couple ice cream cones while trying to get her parents to believe they were both for him and no one else.

Destiny was educated finely with the many extracurricular activities that her adopted mother enrolled her into. She was only interested in guitar, horse riding and dance. She didn't pay much attention in anything else. Because her interest with education was so limited, her grades were never good enough for her parents. She was a C average student. Just barely getting by even after doing all her work and getting the best grade she could. She was told she would have to find a tutor and get her grades up or else she'd be losing plenty of her privileges and in that household, they knew how to put a child on restriction. Destiny ended up parting ways from her brother and became part of the skater click in the school. She skated every day she had free and hung out with her friends listening to music and hitting up the ramps at the park.

When Destiny was thirteen, she started putting pieces of the puzzle together. She knew that Alex and her looked very different. Putting them together would still make it a difficult call to say they were related. People knew deep down that they had to be because Blake wasn't a common name in the area. No one could figure it out, and neither could Destiny until she started digging in the attic and saw a picture. It was a picture of her biological mother and father with her in the hospital when she was born. Confused, Destiny brought the picture to her adoptive mother and questioned it. Her mother told her about how he didn't want her to know and why. Destiny wasn't upset or angry about it. All she could think about is how little she knew of herself and where she came from. She told her mother that she wanted to find them and needed to know. Her parents weren't thrilled about the idea and they refused to let her go.

Destiny Blake went through a lot after moving to Altamont. She met her biological father and found a place in his life with his family. She made friends, made a name for herself and yet lost them as well. She had been singing and writing her own music for years. Everything surrounding her just gave her more to write about. She lost friends, lost her way in life and it was the fuel she needed. She always said she was going to get her music out there. She wanted people to hear her words and to feel her music and the power she felt that it had. She heard that JMAC was looking for a one of those girl bands and as much as Destiny wanted to sing she didn't want to change her dream of being a solo artist. She wrote a letter to the label and got herself a meeting. With much consideration she signed a one year contract and has released, as of today, two hit singles. She is slowly rising to the top. Where will this life take her?
